Yes I'm back. Well only really because I was spending some time bumbling through the back catalogue of posts here, and realised I haven't posted anything since July '24.
To be honest, rather than posting here - nobody reads it anyway, I've restarted a diary of sorts, which gives me some cathartic pleasure and may (or may not) be read by those that survive me once I'm dead and buried. I also post most of my thoughts, and stuff that goes on on the Threads social media app (having given up on the cesspit that Twitter became a year or more ago). Mind you with all the crap that's going on in the world, all social media should come with a health warning anyway.
The USA has gone to hell in a handcart in Trump's second term. What a complete and utter insane Buffon he is. The Republicans have basically become a right wing Nazi party under him, and they're all raving fucking lunatics - excuse my French. It's utter madness what's going on over there.
Ukraine is still fighting the Russians following their invasion several years ago. Millions of lives lost and for what. Putin's another fucking idiot that the world would be better off without.
And to complete an evil triumvirate, Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu is presiding over a horrific genocide in Gaza - and yes, the Gazans or more specifically Hamas, their political government/terrorist organisation (delete as you see applicable)are not without blame, but Israel has all but obliterated Palestine and the Palestinians. It's genocide.
So those three - and they're all intrinsically linked have got the world in a right bloody mess, figuratively and literally.
Anyway, I've done what I didn't intend to do here, and that's creep towards all the shit that's going on in the world, and I don't want to do that as it's too depressing.
